Tips To Increase Your Affiliate Commissions 5 Comments

Whether you are new in affiliate marketing or an experienced marketer who makes a full time income from affiliate marketing you certainly would like to increase your commissions. But how you could do that?

Here are three simple but powerful tips that will help you double or triple your affiliate commissions in a short time.

1. Choose a well-established product to promote. Obviously, you would like to promote a product, which you know that is trustworthy and will make you money. Except from that, you should consider some other factors before you select an affiliate program.

Probably the most important of them is to choose a product, which fits in your target audience, and additionally you know the pros and the cons of this. Another obvious thing you should consider is the percentage of your commissions per sale, this percentage should be no less than 50% and preferably, 75%.

Another important factor is the billing type of the product; you should prefer recurring products because you will continue receiving commissions every month without the need of making another sale. Lastly an important factor is what affiliate tools the vendor offers to his affiliates, some vendors give prewritten emails and valuable marketing tools and information that will boost your sales.

2. Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor’s website. The majority of people do not buy something on their first visit. Statistically most people buy a product after the fourth or fifth visit so if you want to persuade them buy the product you promote you have to send them a series of emails promoting this product.

If you just send people to the vendor’s website without collecting their emails you are providing free advertisement for the product owners unless of course if someone make a purchase in his first visit. On the other side the product owners could gather the email addresses and promote not only one product but probably many others that they might own or are associated with. However, when you get people’s email addresses and names you can do that yourself and promote more products of the same niche in the future.

3. Ask for higher than normal commission from vendors. If you are successful with the promotion of a particular product, you should approach the vendor and negotiate a raise in the percentage of commissions for each sale. You may believe that vendors will have no reason to give you a bigger commission but if a merchant is smart, he will prefer to accept your request rather than lose a valuable affiliate. Of course, this cannot be done by everyone since you have to be already successful.

These are a few tips that you can use in your affiliate marketing strategy and if you use them in the right way, you can easily increase your affiliate commissions in the shortest of time.
